Autobiography

Ishutina Olena graduated with honours from the Sloviansk State Pedagogical University in 2006 with a degree in “Pedagogy and Methodology of Secondary Education. The Ukrainian language and literature and language and literature (English)” and obtained the qualification of a teacher of the Ukrainian language and literature, the English language and foreign literature.

Since 2005, she worked as a statistician of the Educational and Methodological Department of the Sloviansk State Pedagogical University.

Throughout 2012, O. Ishutina worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Primary Education Theory and Practice of the State Higher Education Institution “Donbas State Pedagogical University” (Sloviansk). In 2012, she entered the graduate school of the State Higher Education Institution “Donbas State Pedagogical University”, the specialty 13.00.04 – Theory and Methodology of Vocational Education.

In 2017, O. Ishutina successfully defended her thesis on the topic: “Forming of the linguomethodological competence of prospective teachers of the Ukrainian language in the process of professional training”. In 2019, she got the title of Associate Professor.

From 2013 to the present moment O. Ishutina has been working at the Department of Primary Education Theory and Practice.

She has 47 publications, including three teaching aids and 44 scientific papers, of which 2 are publications in the periodicals included in the scientometric database Web of Science, 1 in the periodical included in Scopus, 2 chapters of collective monographs. O. Ishutina takes an active part in international scientific and practical conferences held in countries belonging to the EU (Poland, Czech Republic etc.).

Ishutina teaches the courses “Practical Grammar of the English Language”, “Methods of Teaching the Ukrainian Language”, “Practice of Oral and Written Speech”, “Methods of Teaching a Foreign Language” at a high educational and methodological level.

She takes part in the scientific seminars of the Department of Primary Education Theory and Practice, in the methodological support of the educational process at the department, manages the students’ research work, and serves as secretary of the educational and methodological commission of the Faculty of Primary, Technological and Vocational Education.

Ishutina is engaged in the issues of linguistic and linguomethodology of training prospective primary school teachers, the use of digital technologies in education.

She is a member of the editorial board of the electronic scientific journal “Professionalism of the Teacher: Theoretical and Methodological Aspects” http://profped.ddpu.edu.ua/.

Ishutina completed an internship in the framework of the project “Development of a Culture of Democracy in Teacher Education in Ukraine, Norway and Palestine” (CPEA-LT-2017/10037). Sh takes part in the international project of the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) on the introduction of media literacy in education.
